Harlan’s book and his CF expertise are simply ‘golden’ – as an LE computer forensics ‘practitioner’, I know that there are only a few “true professors” out there. For me, HC is the go-to-guy for any questions or clarification of Reg-info or other artifacts that will prove (or disprove) “beyond a reasonable doubt” whether the “bad-guy” did it. HC has set the standard for other true forensic scientists to follow. His analyses are – from all I have seen – irrefutable. Thanks H.C. I owe you mucho beer-o.

Excellent interview, both in the questions asked (wow, I think you hit everything!) and the answers given! Holy cow!

I’d love to get into forensics and incident response if I had a job opportunity open up in front of me or my personal goals got met enough to free up time to devote to this as a hobby. Until then (or even if I stay in other areas of IT/security), Harlan’s insight and books definitely suffice for me!
