		<description>No, you&#039;re not supposed to hate your competitors.  (Exemption granted if they&#039;re truly evil.)  In fact, I would think much less of a vendor that missed no opportunity to disparage its competitors.  Saying &quot;we&#039;re better than they are and here&#039;s why&quot; is ok; saying &quot;they suck, here&#039;s why&quot; isn&#039;t, really.

If vendors aren&#039;t willing to help each other out, it&#039;s a sign to a disinterested observer that they put their company before the good of their customers.

Plus, as you say, what goes around comes around.  You never know when you might need a favour.

Sounds like you already have a handle on it anyway, but thought I&#039;d say this anyway.</description>
